Love Every Minute Logo Sketches
We had the pleasure of working with the typographer Gemma O'Brien for our latest project. Here are some of her concept sketches.

IFAW Ocean Noise
We recently had the privilege to work with the IFAW on a film to promote the issues of noise pollution on whales.
The film was great fun to work on. A big thanks to all the volunteers for helping out and making it possible in such a short amount of time.
We decided early on that we wanted to use the format of a school play to help explain the whales plight. This meant designing and building over 16 costumes in a very short time frame.
Mike, Nick and Pete McDonald set about designing all the costumes in just a couple of days.
Nick with the help from Alex and Henry set about building and painting
the costumes in just 4 days. A bunch of the Engine staff jumped in at the
11th hour to help get the costumes across the line.

Joel Character
This is the second post in the series (girls being the first). This character was directly inspired by our very lanky flame operator Joel. Who by the way is killing it with his new website offering smoke and flame tips and tutorials. Check it out: joelosis.com

Pitch Work AppleGate
This was a fun one that we got to push ourselves with. We really tried to add some texture the flat colours.

Fuji Xerox Case Study
Here is a few lovely frames from a recent job we did. The final vid moved slightly away from the original vibrancy of the boards, but it still turned out to be a great piece.

Cup O' Doodle
I stumbled across this awesome blog yesterday. As a kid, my favourite show to watch was Mr Squiggle and it was also a game I used to love to play in my school books during class. It is really cool to see some really quality artists still playing this game. It is a great project and a super fun way to get inspiration, so I thought I would have a crack at it. Hope you enjoy!
Check out the all the other great submissions here.

Budgies
Some quick character illustration purely for the enjoyment of the exercise. My family used to have a buch of budgies when I was a kid. They always exuded so much attitude which I wanted to capture in the drawing. I was really trying to play with the overall shape and work out what makes an easily recognisable silhouette of a bird.
I like to think these two are the old bitter couple, keeping an eye on everything that is going on.

Gruen Planet
Some of the stages of the build of a 3d futuristic environment, for a pitch on Gruen Planet. It was fun to set our minds to the possibilities of futuristic environments and what they would look like, even with a sinister motive.
